* To promote the recruitment of Black

   Men and Women in nursing

* To increase the level of health care

   providers who are minorities

* To aid students in sucessful

   completion of their nursing education

* To aid nurses in the pursuit of their            professional goals

* To serve as the local nursing body to

   influence legislation and policies that

   affect black people

* Work cooperatively and collaboratively

   with other health care providers

* To act as the vehicle for unification of

   Black Nurses of varied age groups,

   educational levels, and geographic

   locations to ensure continuity and

   preservation of our common heritage
